Foundryside Robert Jackson Bennett 8. Sparhawk is a gruff, no nonsense knight and is a very loveable character. I had suspicions about Flute from very early on. As late as The Tamuli even.
The church personages, the monarchs, the local ‘historians’ so to speak that Sparhawk and his companions encounter along the way all make for excellent characters and interactions. The bantering between the characters, and especially the knights of the different orders, is deftly dealt with.
