In this way you can save handouts as. Probably both ; Old guides told me that one of the printer options should be ‘print to file’, so I thought they just scrapped this option. Or more probably, you have a different version of LibreOffice.
I want to export the handouts though, and I can only find the options for printing the librroffice to either a real printer, or export individual slides as a PDF so different pages in the PDF. Here you can change the orientation of the page to Landscape.
What is the current status of Smart-Art like functionality?
On the last tab, called “Options”, select “Print to umpress Why should printing to a physical device be different than exporting to. But, it is available on Linux, I hope so on Windows.

I have not found a way to print my handouts in Portrait, which is what I actually want, except to first print them to pdf and then use a pdf viewer to do the actual printing.

PDF export will present you with a whole bunch of options, but libreoffive isn’t one of them. However, you can print to a PostScript file, if you have a postscript printer driver installed, and then use another program such as Ghostscript or Adobe Distiller to create a PDF from the PostScript file.

If you select under “Option” tab of the “Print” dialog window “Print to file” then it produces you a pdf file for the type from the “Document” pull down list on the “General” tab. It seems that is not possible directly: I can print it in a normal printer, but I need it as a pdf file.
