Romeo and Juliet is a pove romantic play, but when teacher and pupil fall in love, it’s real life. It was riveting and addresses a social topic that I feel is becoming more prominent. Rachel is a relatable character. Couldn’t put it down. Jul 08, P added it.
Did Mike genuinely fancy Rachel? That much is obvious in the way he continues his behaviour, even after everything that has happened, with other girls at the sixth form he moves onto.
Unique and pretty inappropriate to have in our library but the story was okay, I guess. The characters’ situations are still relatable, but much of the setting is out of date. Written in the lessonns, the book has aged well and doesn’t read out of date or old fashioned. A tad inappropriate but from what I can recall I thought “good book” when I put it down.

DNFing this book for now. May 04, Anna rated it liked it. You may think everything is in your favor, but if you view things from a diff. He writes about controversial topics, which I appreciate, but his writing style just isn’t for me.
I usually feel a sense of achievement when I finish a book, happy in the knowledge that everything turns out ok. I thought a lot of the side characters were very level headed, particularly the MC, Rachel’s friends. They fall for each other during Romeo and Juliet rehearsals?
Paperbackpages. It needed a little more emotional depth, for my tastes. When I first read this book I could not put it down. You take the risk emotionally and mentally to be with someone, show your commitment to them and also accept whatever limitations they might be or not ldssons if you do decide to be with belbinn person you have chosen to love or to be with. Overall, an amazing read.

I mean Mike and Rachael fall in love when they shouldn’t as teacher and pupil; but we all know ‘fall I read this book as a 15 year old and I be,bin admit was caught up with the romance aspect of it.
Trivia About Love Lessons. I’d read reviews about how there was an interesting dynamic in this one because Rachel the student, 15 years old initiates the relationship and that she knows exactly what she wants. I read this book because it sounded different and interesting This is good because it allows you to step back from the story. I have mixed feelings about this one.
This is the story of fifteen year old Rachel. I felt like I was reading a book for kids, which I guess, in a way, I am but I prefer YA books that assume their readers have a bit of a higher reading level. This book was really good but it seemed like a more adult version of Jacqueline Wilson’s book which is called love lessons too. This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers.
The rating isn’t as high as I’d like because both Rachel and her lover, her English teacher!
