I read this first, and then the Autobiog. Now it’s more of a novelty because I’m less obsessed with Morrissey the seveded these days. If you’re a Moz lover, music fan, or even a history buff or non-fiction devotee, you’ll love this book.

Morrlssey book is hugely overrated. The song was to remain his favourite over the next few years and represented a treasured postscript to a partnership that had run its course.
Morrissey seemed rather nervy throughout the fractious recordings, as if he realized that the entire future of The Smiths was inexplicably crumbling away. Here, reprinted in full, is the chapter that deals with the band’s last few weeks.
